Ugoki Tsuzukeru
Ugoki Tsuzukeru katana was filmed recently in Hazleton, Pennsylvania at a Mountain Teachings workshop. This kata is is more in the Iaijutsu realm than Iaido. This standing kata contains 35 movements with multiple blocks and counters executed in several different directions. . It is a great training kata as well as an exciting competition and demonstration kata!
The kata is taught systematically step-by-step adding applications as we go along. This 2 Disc set includes the Kata and Bunkai of Ugoki Tsuzukeru katana and as a special bonus all of the Omori Ryu nukitsuke are explained in detail! DVD Sample $ 39.95

Muso Shinden Ryu Omori Ryu
This 60 minute video contains detailed breakdowns of the essential techniques from Muso Shinden Ryu Omori Ryu. Covering nukitsuke (the draw), kiritsuke (cutting), chiburi (blood shaking from the blade) and noto (returning the sword to the scabard). The 12 kata of the Omori Ryu, the Shoden level of the Muso Shinden Ryu, are presented from the front and the side in both slow and regular speed form with detailed explanations and applications.

Hasegawa Eishin Ryu
Contains detailed descriptions of each technique and kata of the Hasegawa Eishin Ryu, as well as their bunkai (application).
Each kata is first performed slowly, and then at regular speed. Each is shown from the front view and also at another angle for clarity. The footwork of each kata is then shown slowly without the hakama to reveal the complex pivoting of leg and foot movements required by the traditional bunkai. $ 54.95

Shindo Munen Ryu
This style was founded by Fukui Heiemon Yoshihira, Sensei and was based on the teachings of the Shinkage Ryu, Shinkage Ichien Ryu and the Ichien Ryu. After years of research and practice Mitsuzuka Sensei introduced the style to the USA in the mid-80’s through the organization he had founded, the North American San Shin Kai, and added it as a supplement to the Muso Shinden Ryu curriculum. The video “Secrets of Japanese Swordsmanship/Shindo Munen Ryu Iaijutsu” (58 minutes) contains the 12 standing kata originally taught by Sensei along with several application drills. The kata and techniques are filmed from the front and side at slow speed and regular speed. There are also overhead views to clarify angles and to further define the movements. The Shindo Munen Ryu would be a beneficial addition to anyone's study of Iai no matter what style they are currently practicing!
