Please join me for this special seminar on Japanese Swordsmanship!

This seminar will offer in-depth explanations and detailed breakdowns of the five fundamental movements of the sword—a level of instruction rarely explored in regular training. These core movements include drawing, cutting, deflecting, maneuvering, and closing.
Participants will study 15 essential elements of drawing the sword, clearly revealed and explained with an emphasis on timing, smoothness, speed, and safety. From there, the seminar will progress into the kata, strategies, and practical applications of the traditional Japanese sword style Musō Shinden Ryū.
Kata from **all three levels of the system—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—will be taught and adapted to match each participant’s experience. Training will conclude with a structured 20-step, two-person partner drill using wooden practice swords (bokken), designed to develop distance, timing, and control.
This promises to be an exciting and information-rich day of focused study and hands-on learning.
