Ugoki Tsuzukeru katana was filmed at the Crosswinds Karate in Hazleton, Pennsylvania at a Mountain Teachings workshop. This kata is more in the Iaijutsu realm of Japanese Swordsmanship than Iaido. This standing kata contains 35 flowing movements with multiple blocks and counters executed in several different directions. It is a great training kata as well as an exciting competition and demonstration kata!
The kata is taught systematically step-by-step adding applications against single and multiple attackers as it moves along.
